Director of ROAE2 gave a lecture on Safe Agriculture and Adaptation to Climate Change
Director of ROAE2 gave a special lecture on "Government Perspectives on Food Safety, Value Addition, Market Linkage, and Guidelines for Driving Safe Agriculture in the Future towards Sustainable Agriculture" under the project "Agricultural Product Quality, Value Addition, and Market Linkage", which is the third product of the project "Adaptation to Climate Change in the Agricultural Sector to Increase Recovery and Sustainability in the Highlands, Tambon Bua Yai, Amphoe Nanoi, Nan Province".
During September 18-19, 2024, Ms. Thanphichcha Theeraratchanon, Director of Office of Agricultural Economics Region 2 (Director of ROAE2, Phitsanulok), gave a special lecture on "Government Perspectives on Food Safety, Value Addition, Market Linkage, and Guidelines for Driving Safe Agriculture in the Future towards Sustainable Agriculture", along with Ms. Panrada Thareun, Policy and Planning Analyst, who joined the training and exchanged opinions and suggestions at Nan Nam Thong Hotel, Mueang District, Nan Province.
The objective is to provide knowledge on post-harvest management, production, value addition Linking markets in safe products, which are 6 types of alternative crops (Future Crop), namely cocoa, avocado, pumpkin, lemongrass, bananas and peanuts, for 60 participants, consisting of representatives from government agencies, private sectors, entrepreneurs and farmers in the project target areas.
This training is the third product of the project "Adaptation to climate change in the agricultural sector to increase recovery and sustainability in the highlands, Tambon Bua Yai, Amphoe Nanoi, Nan Province" by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), which is an advisory team providing academic assistance (TA) from the academic support budget of the Japan Foundation for Poverty Reduction (JFPR) in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board.
